Young Adults
What makes one a “young adult?” At Mt. Vernon Place UMC, there is no room to discriminate, for we are only as young as we feel. Our young adult group members colloquially refer to ourselves as FOCUS, which is a borrowed acronym for “friends over college and under senility”. But the name also alludes to the importance of focusing our busy lives on God by living Christ’s example every day.
FOCUS meets twice monthly for weekday dinners, Bible-based discussions, and fellowship. We also participate in service projects in the church, neighborhood, and city with the occasional group outing to take in the art and culture of Baltimore.
