 British Jazz piano legend Stan Tracey, now in his mid 80s , has been playing professionally for over 60 years.
He has performed and recorded extensively with masters such as Sonny Rollins, (who famously remarked,"Does anybody realise how good this guy is?"), Dexter Gordon ,Stan Getz and Ben Webster to name but a few.
His recording with Ben Webster was released this year- 42 years after it was recorded.!
He also released his latest CD this year with the trio (plus Simon Allen) featured on this upcoming concert.
Witnessing this piano master in the splendor of Mt Vernon Methodist Church ,with its superb grand piano is a an opportunity not to be missed.
He will be joined for a part of this performance by tenor saxophonist Ron Holloway.
